Simple and Healthy Turkey Picadillo Recipe

Pardon my repeat on this recipe, but as I’m new to the blogging world, I’m operating on a learning curve. I originally posted this turkey picadillo recipe in this “Our Week in Five” post. While I say “posted,” the appropriate word is really “hid” because I make this recipe monthly and cannot find it on my own website! So this repost is really for my own benefit.

But in case you missed the turkey picadillo recipe the first time around, this is really one that you should try. The ingredients are super basic and, aside from the veggies and ground turkey, are usually items that you already have around the house. This is also a healthy meal that packs a lot of flavor. The raisins and olives and tomatoes meld together in the most amazing way.

I’m usually on a pseudo-low-carb/paleo/Whole30 diet, and this recipe meets all of the criteria for those diets. It tastes great warm or cold, packs well for to-go lunches, and–the best part–takes only 20 minutes to make.

I also want to give credit where credit is due and note that this recipe was shared with me by one of my favorite coworkers at my old job in Austin. It was actually her mother’s recipe. When she first told me the ingredients, I didn’t think I would like it. But then she let me sample a little bit, and I was hooked. I seriously make this ALL the time.

So here it is (again!):
